Our names are Frank and Sally Andrade and we are a small farm located just outside Harriston, Ontario on a popular route to Lake Huron cottage country.
Frank was born and raised on the farm, but Sally was a city slicker. After many years running a successful fabrication business, we made the decision to slow life down and settle on the farm.ÊWhile on a visit to the U.S.A. we stopped at an alpaca farm and quickly fell in love with these beautiful animals. After a little more research, we purchased our first animals in 2008 and then added a few more and a few more.ÊPresently our farm is home to 22 alpacas — 20 Huacayas and 2 Suris!
Animal lovers at heart, our goal is first and foremost to enjoy spending time with these gentle animals and we interact with our herd daily. All our animals are gentle, friendly and easy to handle. We focus on breeding animals with little guard hair, consistent micron counts throughout the blanket, and similar micron and spin fineness counts to ensure that the yarn and other products produced from our fleece are soft and of top quality. We are pleased to offer any advice and assistance we can. Farm visits are welcome; we are always happy to "talk alpaca!"
