It was spring of 2007 when we were introduced to alpacas by our brother and sister-in-law. They had watched an episode of "Dirty Jobs" which featured an alpaca farm.
We were interested and we decided to go to the Orangeville Fleece and Halter Show that April. When we saw our first alpaca we were intrigued and went home very excited. We talked to many people that day. As time went on we kept thinking about alpacas. For the past few years prior to this we were trying to figure out how we could make money from our small hobby farm and also love doing it. This is what we were waiting for.
We decided to visit some fantastic people in Uxbridge and bought two pregnant female Huacaya's. We agisted them there until the fall of 2008 when all our fencing and stalls were ready. We finally brought them home October 18, 2008.
Our journey begins, we hope you can come visit us, coffee is always ready.
